Thanks for taking us on this foray into Mull. Loved our last visit but alas at the moment we are staying within a certain driving distance of hospital for Mr.M. so got as far as the Cairngorm National Park. I may revisit our photo album from last time in Mull to keep us going until the next trip up.
Thanks, Felicity, yes it's been a bit...fraught for a good few weeks and unfortunately there's all the waiting in between times. I'll write about it at some point but for now, my stories have to be feel-good to keep me buoyant. Thank goodness for the caravan and the ability to nip away if we feel like it! Your photos really cheered me, thanks x
Still here but the wind and rain are forecast to be fierce for our final two days. Langamull will give me a reason to return. (It’s less than a year since I was last over).
The first time I went to Mull (which was only in March 2023) I was back within 3 months. I went again last year, but my wallet has forced me to take a year off this year. I love it so much there, and am really enjoying reading and seeing your picture postcards from there.
Travelling in a campervan helps keeps costs down, now that B&B is so expensive. Especially as you can cook for yourselves. The Spars are well stocked and we’ve bought from a few farm shops.
Thank you for sharing your walk Felicity. We climbed this hill from the campsite at Craignure a few years ago and had similar weather, so I can agree it is a fabulous view point.
Glad you had good weather for it. Well done for the extra miles from the campsite. Did you walk on the Torosay drive or along the main (single track) road?
We walked via Torosay on the way up but tackled the road coming back as we were weary. We've walked through the woods at Torosay since to the lovely bay. I think it was the day we set off to climb Ben More and turned back as we could hardly stand up in the wind! Of course, around sheltered Craignure there was hardly a breeze:)
Thanks, Mull is a lovely green island with plenty of trees. Oh dear, re D&G book. It should have been there by now. I’m sorry won’t be able to send another until I’m home, probably after your house hunting visit.
Gorgeous photos, Felicity. I missed this being published.

Thanks for your thoughts, but sorry to hear about Mr M. No wonder you needed cheering up with two short story acceptances.

Great photos, thanks for sharing.
Have you left Mull yet? If not you must go to (the best beach on the island) Langamull.

The wind is a bit like that today, but not as bad as overnight, when it was playing havoc with tents on the campsite.
I remember when the miniature railway ran to Torosay Castle, whose grounds were open to the public.
Love a postcard - soggy or otherwise! Enjoy your travels, Felicity and thanks for bringing us along ☺️
Lovely photos - I definitely need to visit Mull again one day!
Hope the rain stops soon.
The D&G book has still not arrived - I will let you know when it does.
