Beautiful words and photos - I can so imagine being there.

I was a little disappointed to hear you already have midges - naively I hoped they would't appear until later in the year, lol :-)

We had such a hot, sunny spell that everything is early. The midges appeared as soon as there was some moisture. Mind you, they are only a nuisance in still, humid places with thick vegetation. Most of the time it was too windy for them.

I loved reading this. And the photos are stunning. Scotland has my heart, especially the Hebrides. I haven’t been to Mull (yet!) but it’s on the list…and may have just found its way to the top now!

Beautiful.

Thank you. I’ve just been back for a few days on Lismore and the mainland opposite Mull. Lots of similarities in landscape (especially raised beaches) and vegetation.

Glorious writing, Felicity - so glad you had good weather! There's nothing as refreshing as a dip in a Hebridean sea of blue.

Thanks. I’m missing the sea already. Quite different to freshwater lochs.

A lovely balm to my temporary incapacity Felicity, poetic prose bringing your explorings to life. I felt as though I was walking there with you.

Thank you. I was trying to let my writing be less strait laced.

I hope you’re being waited on hand and foot (but also doing your exercises!).

It was lovely, must be fun to play with your style a bit too:) I am doing my exercises, despite my brain telling me it has no idea how to make that leg work, it’s denying it ever knew it! Though when my grandaughter asked if I was doing my exercises and I turned the camera round to show her, my leg miraculously lifted! To which I was rewarded with a well done Nana - best feedback ever🤣
