Thank you Andrew. I’ll be working on my Glen Lednock Wind Farm objection this week.

Lovely photos. I have often tried to photograph a common blue, but they will never stay still.

I find it incredible that butterflies can fly so accurately on blustery days, never mind migrate across continents. You would think the large surface area of their wings would make them totally at the mercy of the wind, and yet they have such control - it never ceases to amaze me.

Yes butterflies are outstanding. They are often very difficult to follow in flight as they zigzag about and become invisible at certain angles - I guess a defensive tactic to avoid predators.

A timely update for someone who lives in the potentially flickering shadow looming with menace above the beautiful landscapes of Comrie and upper Strathearn. The Glen Lednock windfarm and access road would inflict horrendous damage and irreparable harm to all of Scotland’s enjoyment of the treasured iconic features of Glen Lednock. Places like the Melville monument, Deil’s Cauldron waterfall and our Atlantic Oakwood SSSI all of which add so much to the charm of upper Strathearn. It must not be allowed to happen.

But first read the beautiful writing about our beautiful butterfly treasures, some of which live in GlenLednock.

Wonderful as always. I was delighted the day before my op, to see a small pearl bordered fritillary in a plantation clearing near Tarbert. Its beauty was astounding, mesmerising! Photographing butterflies has always been one of my favourite pastimes, I’m still working on the perfect shot🤣

Thank you. Butterflies don’t always cooperate, especially when they are fuelled by heat and nectar like today!
